For three years, Nicolas Billaud, the village grocer, “The robber of the senses”, has been in charge of this local store. On Saturday, December 18, he invited his loyal customers for a goodbye drink. Indeed, he decided to give himself some time to go on an adventure.
He took advantage of this convivial moment to present his successor. Not without emotion, he addressed his clients and friends in these terms: “After a little more than 3 years at the helm of the grocery store, it is with a pang of heart that I am leaving. With the people who have been willing to be regulars, whatever the season, I think I have succeeded in creating sincere and caring relationships that only small businesses can still offer today. Taking the time to discuss everything and nothing, taking the time to share and offer coffee, are the little things that that you are more than a customer at the grocery store, otherwise the grocery store would have had no soul and no place for me.
This is why I spent three beautiful years full of experiences and encounters with more or less intense rhythms according to the seasons.
I would like to thank all those who placed their trust in me, who enriched my daily life and who made it possible to ensure the sustainability of this business.
Today, I pass the hand. I know that Patrice, the buyer, is worthy of trust and kindness, because I have been working with him in the associative framework for over a year, I know him well. He will know how to continue to carry the values of the grocery store while of course putting his personal touch, it becomes his business. “
Thank you Nicolas, we wish you beautiful and rich encounters and discoveries in your new adventure!
