The channel will soon launch the broadcasting of its flagship adventure program which offers an itinerary in four new countries.
If the filming of season 14 of “Beijing Express” broadcast on M6 had been largely disrupted by the Covid-19 epidemic, the good audiences were there. This edition, won by Claire and Christophe, attracted an average of 3.1 million fans, the second best audience in the history of the program! Building on this success, the channel has logically launched a season 15 that it will broadcast very soon. Entitled “In the Land of the Golden Eagle” and still presented by Stephane Rotenberg, she promises the eight pairs involved in the competition the discovery of four countries, never before seen in the show.
A dream road
The latter thus begin the adventure in Central Asia on the old Silk Road to Kyrgyzstan, a former Soviet socialist republic, then continue in Uzbekistan before moving on to Jordan and to finish their journey in the United Arab Emirates and more precisely in Dubai (where the previous season was supposed to end before the route change). A career that particularly delights Stéphane Rotenberg: “This road was part of our dreams since season 3, he confides. I think she will make history on the show“. This 15th season was boxed from the end of last August, a period during which the pandemic was experiencing a lull. Regarding health rules, production has adapted to those imposed in each of the countries crossed and asked the entire team and candidates to be vaccinated.
90,000 applications and an unprecedented rule
After a call made during the broadcast of season 14, the production received nearly 90,000 applications! For the choice of the eight pairs, she favored variety and novelty with in particular a mother and her daughter, two Monegasque sisters, cousins, a long-standing couple with a very childish universe or even a grandfather and his little one. -son, a first in the program! A duo of strangers, who discovered themselves on the spot, is also part of the participants and promises to be explosive. In order to spice up the competition, a new rule has been enacted which may upset the strategy of the race. Called “The Express Pass”, it will allow the team that wins it to avoid the final duel without the others knowing. However, this joker can only be used once. In the second part of the evening, the program “Beijing Express: Itinerary Bis” will still be scheduled. It is the couple formed by Julie and Denis, emblematic winners in 2020, who will perform the same steps as the candidates.
