In the saddle for the 33rd Adventure Festival in Les Angles

Monday January 17th 17 hours., In the wheel of the Little Prince, in the presence of Yannick, Marie-Hélène, Céline, Simon and Ludivine Billard. What if the Little Prince had returned to earth as Saint-Ex hoped so much? To be sure, Amandine (7 years old), Coline (10 years old) and Simon (12 years old) go by bike with their parents along the famous Aéropostale line. In the summer of 2019, the whole family leaves Chambéry to go to Senegal, via the Pyrenean passes, the Atlas mountains and the Mauritanian desert to Bignona, in Casamance. More than 7,000 kilometers separate the family from their goal; six months of intense pedaling, encounters and wonder. On the trail of the pioneers of airmail, with the Little Prince as a common thread.

At 9 p.m., presentation of the 2021 adventure book prize to Yannick Billard and his family. And this year, exceptionally, awarding of the coup de cœur prize to Martine Rolland for First of the roped party.

AT 9:30 p.m., Cap Horn project : Boris Doye, Raphaël Thiebaut, Stanislas Legoussouard and Florent Andre propose to embark with them, in kayaks loaded with more than 80 kg, to paddle in the heart of large virgin spaces of civilization, to meet penguins, whales, dolphins and other sea lions. A thousand adventures that these adventurers invite to share, before seeing the island of Cape Horn emerging on the horizon.

To extend the discussions with the festival’s guests, meetings and signings are organized at the media library, place du Coq-d’or (see box).

On the program, Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Cyril Tricot presents his DVD Catalan Country, life-size and his eponymous book.

Monday January 17 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Yannick Billard and his family will be present for the 2021 adventure book prize, In the wheel of the Little Prince.

Wednesday January 19 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Catherine Poulard, wife of Jacques Ducoin, will be there for her books The spirit of the wolf, The shaman of the snow and In the torment of the gulags.

Thursday January 20 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mélusine Mallender will present for her book and her DVD, The Ways of Freedom.
