33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021, ends in the group stage. Beaten by Comoros (3-2), the Black Stars will not reach the round of 16. They leave the adventure through the back door.

Ghana finished 4th in Group C with 1 point behind Comoros (3 pts). Morocco (7 pts) and Gabon (5 pts), are the two (2) qualified from this group.
Historic victory for Comoros
Comoros has just achieved a historic feat by obtaining its first victory in the African Cup of Nations. And this, beating Ghana, one of the greatest footballing nations on the continent. Weakened by André Ayew’s red card in the 25th minute, the Black Stars played outnumbered. Their determination failed to make the difference. They lost (3-2) to Comoros, considered the weakest in the group.
The Comorians are crossing their fingers while waiting for the results of the other groups because they could obtain the title of best third and continue the adventure
Gabon and Morocco in the round of 16
At the end of the last day of the group stages this Tuesday, January 18, 2022, Gabon and Morocco are the two qualified from group C. Deprived of their captain, Aubameyang and Mario Lemina, Gabon had a very good CAN. Without shaking and led twice during this game, saved by its crossbar, Morocco finally snatched a spectacular and sufficient draw to retain first place in the group. The Gabonese, strong and attractive, also join the round of 16 and face Burkina Faso.
The Senegal and Guinea, also secured their ticket to the Round of 16 in Group B.
