A very colorful storefront, a vast showroom, fun “vintage” furniture and hundreds of frames on their display: the Les Glasses store in Groix has retained this touch of originality, imagined by Florence and Bruno Serre in 2008. .
Its new owners, Églantine and Pierre-Emmanuel Nourichard wanted to keep this original style while offering a wide choice of designer glasses, if possible made in France. “We offer frames in wood, shell, recycled material (aluminum cans, fishing waste). It’s a bit like the signature of the store”, present these young shopkeepers, sensitive to their island environment. “We also provide minor repairs, adjustments and advice. »

“We discovered Groix when my parents (Isabelle and Joël Desceliers) created their landscaping company “Côtier Jardin”, says Églantine who, with her husband and their three children, Anne-Charlotte, Albane and Alix, decided to change course and settle in Groix.
Pierre-Emmanuel, a notary’s clerk in Rouen, yearned for the great outdoors. He decided to prepare his BTS in optics on a work-study program with Bruno and Florence Serre, while taking courses for two years at the Fougères trades faculty. “The journeys between our house in Pont-l’Évêque, in Normandy, Fougères and Groix were quite tiring; but we were motivated.
Églantine, who for her part had studied optics at the École Supérieure d’Optique de l’Ouest (Esoo) in Angers and worked for an independent optician, joined her husband in Groix to open the store located in the town center, near the completely renovated Hôtel de la Marine.
