Since January 3, Emmanuel Gilette threw his business as a painter. “I was starting to feel like it. And it was those around me who encouraged me to set up on my own,” he explains.
After a two-year apprenticeship, supplemented by a 6-month training, our painter has forged his experience in working for several companiesespecially in Caen.
“Following an economic redundancy and for personal and family reasons, I settled in Cherbourg”, details Emmanuel, who has chosen to pursue his career as a painter by working, among others, for the Folliot company, “who gave me great advice”.
“My career as a painter was, however, interrupted by a year spent at the EPR, where I held a position as an industrial cleaner, but that was not to the liking. »
After a year, Emmanuel therefore made the choice to return to painting. “I felt it was time to take a step forward. I was also looking for contact with customers, to have my independence. »
Our craftsman performs his services only indoors: painting, laying of rods, decoration, coating, varnishing, removal of floors and wallpaper or other wall coverings. But he does not rule out offering outdoor performances in the future.
“I mainly work within a radius of 20 to 30 km around Cherbourg. I just started, it starts slowly, but surely. I have a few slots left in February. »
