Saturday February 12, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Maïenga agency, a French company that has created and organized unique sporting events since 1990, whose flagship is the Rallye des Gazelles, is organizing in its premises, 2, boulevard Abbé-Valla, an open day. The opportunity to discover or get to know this agency created by Dominique Serra, based in Villeneuve since 2009.
“We design events that stand out for the originality of their concepts and bring together a community of enthusiasts who share the same values”, explains Dominique Serra. Recognized values that permeate each event and contribute to their quality. She is, in fact, “the only agency in the world to offer adventures with ISO 14001: 2015 environmental standard certification”.
During these open days, which will take place around a typical Moroccan snack, the four events currently on the program will be presented: the Aïcha des gazelles rally, the Trek’in gazelles, the Bab El Raid and the Gam Rallye-Raid.
The Aïcha des gazelles rally is a 100% female international competition, which takes place in Morocco. His reputation is well established. “A unique concept in the world with old-style off-road navigation, without speed criteria. The objective being to cover as few kilometers as possible”, says Dominique. It is open to 4 x 4, truck, crossover, quad, SSV, electric vehicle.
Also 100% female, the Trek’in gazelles is an eco-responsible orienteering trek in a team of three. Here again, “it is a unique concept in the world since the navigation is carried out on maps and compasses, without GPS, by achieving the fewest kilometres”.
Open to all, the Bab El Raid is a two-wheel drive regularity rally-raid in France, Spain and Morocco. On the program: navigation on the road-book, fun challenges and solidarity actions.
Finally, the Gam Rallye-Raid is an off-road rally-raid in Morocco, in 4 x 4, SSV or quad, open to mixed or male duos. “The strategy is surpassing oneself and old-fashioned navigation without GPS, which makes it an extraordinary competition”assures the organizer.
On the occasion of these open doors, those who wish can learn about orientation and navigation.
