The mornings will be reserved for physical tests at times more compatible with the efforts, in this “hot and humid” season which sees the thermometer cheerfully exceed 30°. But the first “real exercise” for the trio was to raise funds to finance registration (12,000 euros), travel and related expenses.

Relieved of these financial considerations, the trio of canvassers then turned into Triplets in sneakers, “team name came naturally to mind”, after they put on their sneakers for the essential physical preparation, underlines Betty , appointed team leader. “We’re on the job,” smiles Clémence, confident in the preparation that led the trio to multiply the weekly mountain bike and trail training sessions for which Mickaël (Betty’s husband), a seasoned runner, played the role of coach. . But they were only able to benefit from an introduction to archery and canoeing, a “particularly dreaded” ordeal.
In this competition, “without engine but sweat”, according to the adage of a very framed raid, “we will do our best”, assures Clémence, the least experienced of the three, her two friends having already participated in races walk. “We form a very complementary team,” says Hayate, adding that in the success of this human adventure, “the secret is in the dialogue.”
