The house has chosen the Parisian museum to unveil its fall-winter 2022-2023 collection signed Nicolas Ghesquière.
The framework
This season, the parade Louis Vuitton autumn winter 2022 took place on the ground floor of the Musée d’Orsay, a former Parisian train station on the banks of the Seine, which became a museum in 1986. The space? The large central nave inhabited by emblematic sculptures of the 19th century and lit with natural light emanating from the glass vault. A place of majestic dimensions hosting a fashion show for the first time: an event that kicks off a future partnership between the house and the institution housing the most famous Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings in the world, signed Vincent Van Gogh, Edouard Manet, Claude Monet or Gustave Courbet.

The pace
Wide loose pants and a leather aviator jacket with a printed tie: the first look is reminiscent of that of aviator Amelia Earhart. A scent of independence and adventure. A new demonstration of a perfect men’s and women’s wardrobe, the collection plays on materials and gender mixes: sneakers with a golden tweed dress, a leather peacoat with white buttons, a fitted Austrian jacket in red wool, a striped polo dress on a long ruffled skirt… They go out to dinner and dance, spin to the office or on weekends, loaded with 48-hour bags ready to go. Sculptured necklace and cuffs, shoes open toe revealing the toes, half-moon shoulder bag, mini-trunk that sees double and weekend bag with a floral print like chintz.
