The “Courts mais trash” festival takes up residence at the Aventure cinema this Wednesday, March 16

The “Courts mais trash” festival begins at the Aventure cinema from this Wednesday, March 16 until March 20. This is a Brussels festival dedicated to independent films. “SHORT BUT TRASH” defines itself as a festival “raw, Brussels and without a red carpet“. Concretely, it allows independent films that do not always find their place elsewhere, to exist and circulate. Even if the word “Trash” is in the title, “all films are not necessarily provocative or shocking. They are also and above all alternative, political or offbeat” explains François Marache, the organizer.

Initially scheduled for January, the festival was postponed to mid-March. A focus on Quebec will be offered this year at the opening.

The jury is the public

During the five days of the festival, the jury for the national, international and “best broke film” competitions will be exclusively made up of the public, invited to vote after the viewing. The winners of the various competitions will be announced during the closing evening. The three award-winning directors will each be offered 500 euros as well as a prize created by the Brussels artist Denis Druart.
