Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker patch 6.1 is just two weeks away from launch, and Square Enix revealed the trailer for the upcoming content during today’s Letter from the Producer Live presentation.
Titled ‘Newfound Adventure’, the trailer for new quests, raids and other content is refreshing and full of adventure, especially after spending an entire expansion saving the world and more from the threats that have accumulated since the beginning of Final Fantasy XIV in 2010. Now that those worries are behind us, it’s going to be nice to embark on some light jaunts.
The trailer above shows Tatatru enjoying her free time and reveals that she’s been keeping tabs on her fellow Scions, all of whom have been doing well in their various endeavors since the events of Endwalker ended. New dungeons, bosses, and stages are introduced throughout the game, giving just enough insight into the new content and story to make an FFXIV fan like me want to see more. Was it Y’shtola casually mentioning that he was trying to find ways to travel to other shards (alternate dimensions of sorts) of the Source? Surely there is nothing wrong with this project.
A new main scenario quest will be launched in version 6.1, as well as a side quest dedicated to Tataru, the Scion’s repairwoman. The expansion’s first Alliance Raid, Myths of the Realm Part 1: Aglaia, will pit Ethereal heroes against a pantheon of gods. The patch will also include a new dungeon, an all-new PVP mode, an expansion to the duty support system, harder difficulty modes for previous raids, and much more. You can check out the full list of additions here. This really is a substantial content addition that will likely lay the groundwork for the game’s future storytelling.
Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker’s 6.1 Patch, “Newfound Adventure” will be available on April 12 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
